Xanax to Klonopin

Planning a switch from xanax to klonopin. Have been taking 1.5-2mg xanax/day. Have started taking 1mg kpin in the AM and then xanax as needed up to 1mg/day. Is there a danger of both being in body at once? Thanks!

 

No danger.  If you want to make doubly sure, you could call your pharmacist.

If your plan is to try to taper off the Klonopin I'd try to get on a steady dose and avoid 'as needed' so you can arrive at the dose you plan to taper from.
