ativan to valium taper advice
« on: March 20, 2009, 02:58:41 am »
Hi - I was reading that in some cases substituting valium for ativan is not tolerated well.  Can anyone clarify this for me.  I am planning to start my first dose of valium in the substitution tomorrow and I would like to know if there is anything I need to know.

Thanks

Hi glenair,

All I can really tell you is that some people just can't adjust to Valium and others do really well with it. Some get depression with it and others are fine.

It is still probably the best benzo to taper from, IMO.

Hope everything goes well for you!
